AIRIT-aerators
Waterix AIRIT® aerators are turbine surface aerator. AIRIT combines the high operating efficiency and controllability of bottom aerators with the reliability and low investment cost of the surface aerators. Waterix AIRIT aerators are indeed designed to minimize lifecycle expenses, such as acquisition price, maintenance and energy consumption.
AIRIT aerators are perfect for purifying municipal and industrial sewage, as well as leachate water from landfills.
Other applications ideal for Waterix AIRIT aerators are, for instance, aeration of natural waters like lakes, rivers and golf course ponds as well as fish farms.
AIRIT drives oxygen into the wastewater and then disperses and mixes the oxygen-enriched water in the basin. Its wide intake pipe prevents clogging enabling effective circulation of water through the aerator and reducing the need for maintenance.
The oxygen transfer efficiency is continuously maintained without the need for compressed air, keeping energy and general lifecycle costs low.
AIRIT can be used with a frequency converter to get information from the oxygen meter. This makes it possible to regulate the output of the aerator according to target values for maximum energy efficiency. The software in the frequency converter, which is developed by Waterix, can be programmed to establish an automatic impeller
cleaning cycle periodically. The frequency converter keeps AIRIT clean to further reduce maintenance requirements.
